Schoolchildren were treated to a new art studio equipment this summer thanks to funding from an arts society.
St Martin's Junior School, in Ashley Road, Epsom, paid for the building renovations needed to transform a spare classroom into a studio.
But Epsom Decorative and Fine Arts Society provided £1,000 for equipment as well as art materials for painting, drawing and modelling.
Jenny Power, young arts representative for the society, said: "We like to help local schools, we write to them and ask if they need help funding any art projects, whether that’s equipment for the students or visits from local artists.
"We like to give local schools as much as we can and encourage young artists."
The studio was officially opened on Monday, July 6.
