A young girl is looking forward to being among the first female students to start at an independent boys’ senior school in Ewell.

Ewell Castle School’s sixth form and junior school are already co-ed and its senior school is getting ready to take girls from September 2015.

Lilly-Anne Webb, who turns 13 on Monday, said: "I have always enjoyed going to school and know that Ewell Castle School is going to be a great place for me.

"I am so looking forward to September 2015, to making new friends and to a lovely new uniform." Her mother added: "I have been so happy with the level of education my son has received, that I just want the same for my daughter."

Peter Harris, principal of the senior school, said they are delighted to at "long last" to welcome girls as well as boys at the start of the next school year.

There are still places left in Years 7 and 9 this September. For a tour of the school email admissions@ewellcastle.co.uk
