A rapist has been jailed for nine years, put on the sex offenders register and banned from working with children.

A jury found Terence Pookim-Lifu, 24, of Briarwood Road, Epsom, guilty on four counts of raping a woman aged 16 or over and three counts of sexual assault without penetration.

He committed the crimes in 2012 and 2013. Pookim-Lifu was also found guilty of theft and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) in June 2013.

On January 16, Guildford Crown Court sentenced him to a total of nine years in prison. Sentences for the different offences he committed will run concurrently.

A police spokesman said their records show the offences took place in Chertsey and were reported in June 2013. Pookim-Lifu was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120.
