A building firm with an impressive track record will soon get to work restoring a fire ravaged historic mansion to its former glory.
Triton Restoration, which has previously worked on West End theatres, the Royal Exchange and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, is due to begin work at Ewell Court House on January 12.
The Grade-II listed building at the heart of the community in Ewell was damaged in a huge fire which took hold in the early hours of the morning last December.
Councillor Eber Kington, who sits on Epsom and Ewell Borough Council (EEBC) and Surrey County Council, said restoration work is due to be completed early next November.
Coun Kington said: "Much will depend on what is discovered as work progresses and also how quickly specific tasks can be undertaken.
"EEBC have appointed Triton Restoration to undertake the renovation. "They are specialists in listed building work and are currently renovating the old War Office building and Eastbourne Theatre."
Triton, which was established in 1989 and specialises in refurbishing "architecturally significant" buildings, will install an information board on the site.
