Rugby stars Martin Johnson and Chris Robshaw have given a team at a Leatherhead school an "absolutely unforgettable" surprise.
The 1st XV at St John’s School thought they were going to a team building exercise in central London last month.
But when they got there they were stunned to find England Rugby Union captain Robshaw and Johnson, who used to captain the national team, wanted to film a MasterCard advert with them to promote the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Team member Tom Gyngell, 18, described the surprise as ‘absolutely unforgettable.’
Having analysed the team’s sporting performances on video, there was a Q&A session with the stars followed by a kick-around together in London’s Jubilee Park.
"It was an inspirational boost for our 1st XV team who have had a couple of early losses," said Nick Platt, director of sport at St. Johns. "The boys gained a huge amount of confidence."
The YouTube footage of the day, entitled Priceless Surprises with Rugby Greats, has received almost 300,000 views.
