Hospital volunteers were celebrated and treated to a drinks reception and afternoon tea party at Epsom Racecourse.
Volunteers from Epsom and St Helier hospitals met at the Queen’s Stand for the annual gathering this month.
Norma Darter, Brenda Haigh and David Rees who have all served the hospital for more than 15 years, were given special recognition at the Volunteers’ Tea Party and Long Service Awards.
Hospital chief executive Chrisha Alagaratnam said: “As well as our staff, we have an outstanding team of more than 550 dedicated volunteers whose hard work contributes significantly to the smooth running of our hospitals.
“This year’s tea party was as lovely as ever, with the beautiful weather at the racecourse making it a fantastic occasion to give our volunteers the recognition they deserve.”
Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake and Sutton and Cheam MP Paul Burstow both attended.
