An escaped convict has appeared in court today charged with six burglary offences.

Adam James Yaroo, 28, absconded from Sudbury open prison, in Derbyshire, on Monday, June 23. 

He was caught by police yesterday in Clapham, South London, and charged in connection with a string of burglaries in Epsom, Tadworth, Kingswood, Chipstead, Godalming and Hurtmore. 

Yaroo has been charged with four counts of burglary, two counts of attempted burglary and one count of escape from lawful conduct.

He is also under investigation by other police forces in relation to burglaries in Kent, Sussex, Derbyshire and London.

Yaroo appeared at Guildford Magistrates’ Court today but did not enter pleas for any of the charges.
