A man has been summoned to court in connection with a hit-and-run which injured a schoolgirl.
A pickup truck hit Chelsie, 13, in Tattenham Way, Tadworth, on her way home from the Beacon School at 3.15pm on Thursday, May 15.
Four months on, Daniel Baker, 27, has been summoned to answer charges of failing to report an accident and stop at the scene and driving without due care and attention.
Mr Baker, of Rosebery Road, Epsom, will appear at Redhill Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 6.
Since the crash, Chelsie’s grandmother Christine and her mother Jessica have not wavered in their determination to track down the driver who drove off.
