Intrepid building society employees are walking the length of Hadrian’s Wall to help support teenagers with cancer.

The 14-strong team from Leeds Building Society will complete the 84-mile walk this weekend in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Victoria Zielonko, regional manager for Epsom, said: "Every year the society’s regional managers undertake a charity challenge to raise money for a national charity.

"We have all been inspired by Stephen Sutton's story this year and we want to raise as much as we can for Teenage Cancer Trust."

Stephen, 19, who lost his battle with cancer in May, raised millions of pounds for the charity after his campaign went viral and captured the heart of the nation.

The branch in Epsom High Street is joining the building society’s fundraising drive.

Heather Bowen, regional manager for Teenage Cancer Trust in Yorkshire, said: "This is a fantastic challenge, very hard work, but a total achievement for the Leeds Building Society team ‘Hadrian’s Walkers’."
