Learn life-saving skills for free in a marketplace on Saturday.

St John Ambulance volunteers will hold demonstrations at Epsom marketplace between 10am and 3pm.

Chris Cook, regional training and community projects manager, said: "Learning first aid is one of the single most important things you can do in your life - and it’s so easy learn.

"In the time it takes to do your weekly shop you could learn how to stop a friend choking or keep a loved one alive until an ambulance arrives.

‘By holding free first aid demonstrations across the country, we want to reach as many people as possible, so that more people are equipped with the skills to save a life.

"Anyone who needs first aid should get it - and the more of us that can help in an emergency, the better. No one should die for a lack of first aid."
