Drama students were praised as "bright and dynamic" when they performed at England’s largest arts festival.
Pupils studying drama at Blenheim High School, in Longmead Road, Epsom, recently performed at the Brighton Fringe Festival.
In pursuit of a "long-held dream", the school’s drama department applied to perform at the festival back in November 2012 and were delighted to be accepted earlier this year.
The 21 students, aged 16 to 17, performed three different pieces to three different audiences in their interpretation of Metamorphosis by Kafka.
Reviews by the website Broadway Baby described the performances as "bright and dynamic" and a "wonderful re-telling of the story" where the actors "moved together beautifully, reacting realistically and convincingly".
Head of Drama at Blenheim, Ms Bowden, said: "I am so proud of all the students that took part.
"We asked a lot of them and they delivered beyond measure. The experience of taking part in the Brighton Fringe will stay with us all."
The next performance by the students is a production of The Phantom of the Opera which will be performed at The Secombe Centre in Sutton on July 4, 5 and 6. Tickets are available now from the box office.
