A pharmacy worker from Weybridge is one of 20 finalists in the first fresh photographic heat qualifier for Miss England 2013.

To secure a place in the Miss England semifinal in June 2013, Carrie Millinger, 21, needs the support of the community.

Miss Millinger works as a pharmacy counter assistant, but spends her spare time singing, dancing, DJing and playing bass guitar in a band.

She is hoping to secure a place in the top three, but then her fate will be in the hands of the panel of judges who will decide who is the most photogenic and should receive a place in the Miss England semifinal.

Current Miss England, Charlotte Holmes, 23, from Plymouth, will help choose the winner of the heat from the top three public vote winners.

Angie Beasley, Miss England director, said: “Not everyone is naturally photogenic, so this qualifier aims to find those girls who look great behind the camera as well as in front of one.”

The winner of the heat will receive a place in the Miss England semifinal in June next year, a beauty pageant training day with the Front Academy, an A4 print for her portfolio from the Fresh Academy and a spray tan a month for a year.

To vote for Carrie, text MISSFRESH105 to 63333 or call 09013 070048 and press 05 when prompted. Votes cost 51p plus standard network charge. Voting closes on Monday, September 24, at noon.
