Brooklands College student is world champion go karter

A Brooklands College student has become world champion in karting’s equivalent of Formula One.
Henry Easthope had amazing success at the U18s Karting World Championship in Portugal and was the only Brit to finish the day on the podium.
Mr Easthope Henry qualified in pole position and won three heats, came second in his fourth heat, and won the pre-final; ahead of his final battle, finishing first again.
A Brooklands spokesman said: “No doubt his motorsport engineering course will stand in good stead off the track to match his superb expertise and skill on it.”
