Molesey Regatta rows into town
9:30am Saturday 7th July 2012 in Elmbridge By Sara Neal
Funseekers can look forward to a day by the river next weekend.
The Molesey Regatta, taking place at Hurst Park, is a two day traditional rowing regatta on the Thames. The regatta is running on Saturday, July 14, and Sunday, July 15.
Spectators can anticipate live music from the Elmbridge Young Musicians, the Elmbridge Big Band and even a barrel organ alongside the racing on the river.
Stalls will sell a variety of food, from traditional cream teas to sophisticated cheese and wine, and spectators are encouraged to bring a picnic.
Children will be able to enjoy a play area and fairground rides, as well as face-painting.
There will also be a range of stalls selling art and craft items.
Entry to the event is free and Hurst Park can be accessed via Ferry Road.
