2:56pm Thursday 16th February 2012 in Elmbridge By Louise Robertson
A variety of fun and low-cost activities are available for kids during the Easter holidays.
Elmbridge’s Shout holiday programme is running from April 2 to 13, excluding Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Children will be able to test their driving skills with exciting quad biking sessions, have a taste of wild adventures at Painshill Park and practise their best moves on the dance floor with a special Glee-mania day.
Future jet setters can enjoy a day visit to British Airways and youngsters will get into the spirit of London 2012 by preparing and staging their own opening ceremony.
The force will be with budding scientists during the Science Museum fun workshop and they will create some spectacular sculptures at Elmbridge Museum.
Arty children will also have a great time taking inspiration from spring gardens to make 3D flower fairies, butterflies, flower vases, magical wands, wildlife wind chimes and more.
Councillor Jan Fuller said: “Shout holiday activities are a fantastic way of getting our children and young people active and engaged throughout the Easter holidays.
“We want to offer children and young people a greater choice of things to do. Shout does just that and at a very reasonable cost.”
The Shout holiday brochure will be available from February 20 onward, from elmbridge.gov.uk/shout. For more information or to book, call 01372 474634.
