A teenager suffered a cut to his arm after an “altercation” in a Walton park.

Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance took the boy to hospital after the “altercation” in Elm Grove Recreation Ground off Highfield Road, Walton-on-Thames some time between 7pm and 8pm on Friday, April 28.

Surrey Police was unable to provide more specific information about the nature of the “altercation”.

Detective Constable Hannah Clarke, from North Surrey CID, said: "This incident took place at a busy time of day and we believe that other park users or pedestrians may have seen something.

"This kind of behaviour has no place in our neighbourhoods and it's something we won't tolerate.”
