An old-fashioned safe containing three valuable watches was hauled out of a Weybridge home during a break-in.

Surrey Police is appealing for the public's help in recovering three watches of "sentimental" value that belonged to the victim's late father.

The watches and some cash were snatched by intruders on March 11 in Portmore Park Road some time between 5.30pm and 8.15pm.Your Local Guardian:

Officers said thieves had broken through the back door of the home to gain access.

A Peugeot car on the driveway was also stolen but has now been recovered.

One of the watches in particular, a Favre Lueba, belonged to the owner's late father and is of great sentimental value.

The other two are silver and blue sapphire Omega watches.

One has the James Bond code name 007 engraved on the back of it, with the serial number 01008/10007.

The serial number on the other watch is 03256/10007.
