The murder of West Molesey mother Robyn Mercer will feature on Monday’s Crimewatch episode on BBC 1, almost six months to the day after her death.

Ms Mercer, 50, was found battered to death outside her home in Abbey Walk, Walton Road in West Molesey on Monday, March 14.

A post-mortem examination concluded she had died from multiple blows to the head.

Five people – including a 52-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder on the day Ms Mercer was found, two 26-year-old men arrested on suspicion of murder and suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice are on bail.

A 44-year-old woman and a 20-year woman, both from Oxshott, were also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, and are also on bail.

Airing at 9pm, viewers will be able to hear how about the investigation into the antiques dealer’s death.

Senior investigating officer DCI Paul Rymarz will be talking through CCTV footage and provide an update on the murder inquiry known as Operation Zebu.

He said: “This was a horrendous crime which has devastated Robyn’s family and friends. Our work to try to identify and bring to justice those who committed this brutal attack continues.

“I would urge anyone who has information which might help the investigation and has not yet come forward, to speak with officers as a matter of utmost urgency.”
