Drivers may be stuck in traffic on the M25 this afternoon after a dog was running loose in the carriageway.
Transport for London tweeted at 12.45pm to say traffic was being held both ways beacuse of the dog.
However, just before 1pm Highways England tweeted to say that traffic clockwise has now been released. Those travelling anti-clockwise are still being held "while the dog is contained".
Traffic on the M25 at J8 (Reigate) is currently held both ways due to a dog in the carriageway.

However, not everyone has been happy with the decision to hold the traffic, with several people complaining on social media about the wait.
