The road police unit account also said the driver “tried to argue accuracy of the laser speed detection device” and so used road safety support to provide evidence in court.
The driver, who plead not guilty at court, was found guilty and disqualified for 35 days, fined £1,000 and ordered to pay costs of £2,600, plus a victim surcharge of £100.
