HRH Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 90th birthday today (April 21) – making her Britain’s first ever nonagenarian sovereign.

In celebration of the milestone, we have collected snaps of her majesty delighting residents and tourists across south west London and north Surrey.

Over the years our beloved Queen has visited Kew Gardens, Headley Court, opened the Ashley Centre, marked the centenary of St Barnabas Church in Epsom and the bicentenary of Reed's School in Cobham.

That's not to mention meeting scores of people at other engagements at schools and events, such as Wimbledon and The Derby.

And, we must not forget, the Queen has spent time at arguably her favourite south London spot - Battersea Dogs Home.
