Burgers, paella and wine were all on the bill for the Elmbridge Food Festival at the weekend, writes Josh Budd.
This year included 45 food and drink stalls and a Little Foodies stall with children’s entertainment featuring art and drama classes from Dib Dab Art Club and Pyjama Drama at Painshill Park.
Business from in and around the borough took over food and drink stalls for the two-day festival.
Elmbridge mayor Jan Fuller said the event boosted support for small businesses.
She said: “It is Embridge putting its money where its mouth is and saying 'we want to help business’.”
“Elmbridge is very proud of its businesses, but we need to support them, because life is a struggle for all of them at the moment, and if we can do things that highlight them and what they have to offer, we can bring in so many people from around the area to see them."
Live theatre demonstrations were the highlight of the festival, with on-stage lessons from expert foodies such as executive head chef Dean Williams from Brooklands Hotel who showed of a new dish from his restaurant 1907.
A cocktail making showcase from a guest mixologist and a pizza baking lesson by Baked and Battered were also part of the line up.
