A Weybridge station employee has been rewarded for making a difference.

Peter Byrne, won an award for being the environment champion out of all South West Trains employees.

Only 15 employees from the customer service department were recognised at the first I Make the Difference awards.

The winners were honoured at a ceremony at the Kia Oval in London on Friday, March 27.

Arthur Pretorius, director for customer service, said: "I would like to congratulate all of our winners. We had a large number of entries and heard some incredible stories. It made the job of selecting the most worthy very difficult."
