Rowing medals and a Henley Cup were among items taken in a garage break in.

Police are urging people in Weybridge to be vigilant following the latest spate of thefts.

The most recent incident occured in Hillcrest overnight on February 18, when a mountain bike and two signed framed football shirts were stolen.

One witness reported seeing four men in an old style blue Toyota driving in the area earlier that day.

A home in Parkside Court was also targeted between January 12 and February 16, with someone gaining entry to a locked garage to steal a green plastic packing box containing crockery and antiques.

In particular some gold coloured rowing medals embossed with the words "Molesey Amateur Regatta", a silver oar in a red box, a Henley Royal Regatta Loving Cup and a silver Henley bowl.a

Police Community Support Officer Sarah Janes said: "These are upsetting incidents and we are urging residents to review their garage security and remain vigilant.

"If you see any suspicious care or anyone acting out of the ordinary please make a note of any vehicle details and descriptions and call us."
