Hundreds gathered at memorials and church services throughout the borough on Sunday to remember those who have fallen in conflicts all over the world.
In Esher, a crowd surrounded the War Memorial to lay wreaths, pay tribute and hold a moment of silence at 11am.
Trumpeters from Esher College gave a poignant rendition of The Last Post after the act of remembrance had taken place.
In the afternoon, dozens gathered at Weybridge War Memorial, where the mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Barry Fairbank, laid one of the many wreaths alongside those from the Scouts, St John Ambulance and tributes from members of the public.
Philip Hammond, foreign secretary and Runnymede and Weybridge's MP, also laid a wreath at the memorial.
The sun shone and the weather held out as people paid their respects in services that fell in the centenary year of World War I.
