Acting suspiciously while carrying two bulging shopping bags landed a prolific offender with a four-week custodial sentence.
Cedric Grattan, 24, from Ashford, was stopped by police while walking along Hepworth Way, Walton.
Sergeant Mark Bracknell and Police Constable Neil Bourn found the bags contained £80 worth of meat, freshly stolen from Aldi.
He was arrested on Saturday, October 11, and charged with theft of the various joints.
Gratton appeared at Staines Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 13, and received a four week custodial sentence.
