South West Trains: Two were arrested
An elderly man was allegedly assaulted on a train between Basingstoke and Weybridge on Wednesday evening.
Two teenage boys were arrested in connection with the alleged assault on the 70-year-old, which took place at about 6.30pm .
The alleged victim was taken to hospital with severe head injuries and was later allowed home after receiving treatment.
British Transport Police are appealing for witnesses. Call 0800 405040 or text 61016 with any information, quoting background reference SSUB/B12.
