Customer service at Elmbridge Council has been rated excellent for a third consecutive year.
The council originally won the Cabinet Office Customer Service Excellence accreditation in July 2012, and has done so again for the next two years.
The latest assessment took place across three days in June and covered environmental services, customer services and planning.
The report said: “Following the assessment, Elmbridge Council was found to have a deep understanding of, and commitment to, customer service excellence. The commitment was displayed from senior management levels through to operations and the frontline staff.”
Leader of the council Councillor John O’Reilly said: “We are extremely pleased with the comments from the CSE assessment. We are always looking at ways we can improve to ensure we stay at the forefront of customer service best practice. Our three council values are about customer service, innovation and bringing our council together as one organisation.
“This result proves that we have consistent standards across the council at all levels. Congratulations to all staff involved in the assessment process.”
