Babies and toddlers got their first taste of live classical music at a special concert in Walton.

The classical babies concert at the Riverhouse Barn, organised by Dotty and Jack’s, allowed more than 70 little ones to experience a range of musical sounds in a relaxed environment.

With music performed by a string quartet, there was something for children and adults alike with a mix of classics from Bach and Beethoven and theme songs from popular television shows such as Peppa Pig also translated into classical music.

Emma Lamb, a Dotty and Jack’s member from Weybridge, said: "Since having children I haven’t been able to indulge my passion for live music so to be able to come to this concert with my daughter has been incredible.

"It was a real pleasure to watch her appreciate the music, and recognise some of the songs rather than just hear it through the radio.

"It was a really great morning and it was just so nice to do something very different with fellow mums."

Dotty and Jack’s, which launched in October 2013, runs stimulating classes for babies, toddlers and parents at venues across the borough.
