A mum enjoyed a Mother’s Day with a difference, embarking on a 25-mile cycle ride in aid of the Horse Rangers Association.
Antonia Simpson was treated to the ride by her nine-year-old son, Joss Titcomb, to celebrate the East Molesey based charity’s 60th anniversary.
Joss said: “Mum is entered for the Surrey 100 cycle event and we thought this would be a special way for her to train for that. I can do 25 miles easily.”
About 30 riders set off on the ride, which took them from Hampton Court Palace and through Bushy Park, Teddington and Richmond Park before finishing at the London Irish Rugby Club in Sunbury.
Ms Simpson said the ride was a good way to put herself to the test.
A 75-mile cycle through Shepperton, Thorpe, Virginia Water, Windsor and beyond also took place.
The Horse Rangers Association, based at the Royal Mews, East Molesey, teaches young people horsemanship and how to manage the animals.
