The sale of railway station memorabilia from the no-longer existing Smitham station has raised almost £1000 for charity.
Smitham Station was renamed Coulsdon Town in May last year and the old platform signs were put up for sale on auction.
The proceeds were given to Croydon Neighbourhood Care, a group of more than 30 care organisations across the borough supporting isolated and vulnerable residents.
Southern Rail project manager, Feras Alshaker said: "Traditionally, railway signage fetches good prices on the open market and this has proved be the case. The big difference here is that the money raised has gone to a well deserving cause and we are delighted that we have been able to support CNCA in this way."
