An eerie display of light has left a man bemused after two sightings in Purley.
Jay Owen, 28, watched with his girlfriend from his bedroom window as the shooting-star like light whizzed around for about 45 minutes at around 11.30 pm last night and Wednesday.
“We thought our eyes were playing tricks on us. Whatever it was flickered from one point to another. It was much faster than a plane,” said Mr Owen.
He said that the speed it moved in was unbelievable, but as soon as any planes or helicopters flew in the lights direction, the unidentified object disappeared.
