Man accused of sex attacks on elderly in court

A 52-year-old man accused of being the Night Stalker appeared via videolink at Maidstone Crown Court on February 8.
Delroy Grant, of Brockley Mews, Brockley, was arrested as part of Operation Minstead set up in 1998 to hunt for a sex attacker dubbed the Night Stalker, who targeted elderly men and women in their homes.
He has been charged with five rapes, six indecent assaults and 11 burglaries between 1992 and 2009.
Half of the 22 charges of rape, indecent assault and burglary occurred in Shirley and Addiscombe.
Over the years the attacker has targeted pensioners in South East London including Croydon and Norwood.
He has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Inner London Crown Court on April 30.
