A group of vigilante paedophile hunters have live streamed a sting they carried out in South Norwood.

The Hunted One broadcasted their confrontation with a man they say sent indecent images to a ‘12-year-old’ and tried to meet with her.

But the supposed 12-year-old was actually a member of the vigilante group.

The man is questioned by members about the claims outside his home in South Norwood on Saturday, February 18.

He apologises and blames his drug habit for the messages sent.

In the 30-minute video, the man admits he made a "mistake" by sending messages to the person he thought was a schoolgirl in the Facebook live stream.

The video has been viewed 65,000 times and shared more than 950 times since it was uploaded to Facebook on Saturday evening.

Your Local Guardian:

A selection of messages the vigilante group say are between the man and the 'girl' were published on the group's Facebook page

Messages between the man and the ‘girl’ were also shared on social media by the paedophile hunters.

In one message, after the ‘girl’ tells him she is twelve years old, the man said he would “love the chance to be your boyfriend”.

He also arranges to meet her at a KFC restaurant.

The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for comment.
