Who needs chocolate- soon you will be able get a cheese advent calendar instead for the run up to Christmas.
Last year, London-based food blogger Annem Hobson drew a lot of attention because she made her own cheese-based calendar which had 24 individually wrapped cheese pieces in lieu of chocolate.
Cheese lovers can now rejoice as she is working on a commercially viable version which will be available in December 2017.
CHEESE ARMY! Smashed it again! Over 6000 of you have signed up to buy one next year! You're amazing! #cheesenotchoc https://t.co/vrXVqOKaCN pic.twitter.com/K3xd8eKLG5

Ms Hobson told the Metro: "While the advent calendar may have to be refrigerated, we will work out a design for the box so that it can be hung up on the inside of the door making it easier to instantly get to."
Until then the cheese loving public will be forced to either make their own cheese calendar or eat gouda the regular way.
Ms Hobson is the co-founder of food blog So Wrong It’s Nom.
