Apprentices have been given the chance to test out their fledgling knowledge, by organising an apprenticeship fair of their own.

The Fairfield Halls main foyer, ancillary rooms and Arnhem Gallery will be transformed into a huge employment expo, with representatives from a number of industries invited to give insight into the world of work from 1pm on Wednesday.

The fair, designed for those aged 14 - 23, has been organised by apprentices working out of the venue.

Team building and problem solving workshops, the opportunity to talk to real life apprentices, CV advice, a social media surgery booth and a social hour to round off the day’s events are set to take place.

Guest speakers include Katie Henry, director with the National Theatre, and Lisa Hassell, design writer and director at Inkygoodness.

Entry to The Apprentice Fair is free.
