Trains to and from London Victoria are being disrupted by a double whammy of signalling problems in Horsham and over-running engineering works near Haywards Heath.

Thameslink services between St Pancras and Luton have also been delayed for around 30 minutes, after a person was hit by a train in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

A Network Rail spokesperson reported the person was hit between 6.30am and 7.00am, and services would return to normal from 9.45am.

Some Southern Rail services running both in and out of London have been cancelled while others are running more than 30 minutes late.

Services to Sutton Station in particular have been hit, with the 7.47 from London Victoria to Sutton cancelled and the 8.29 Sutton to Victoria beginning its journey from Balham.
