A 31-year-old man arrested during a police raid has pleaded guilty to running a cannabis factory with a street value of £160,000.
Won Tin Zang was discovered at an address in Eldridge Road, Croydon, on Sunday where 400 cannabis plants were being grown.
On Monday at Croydon Magistrates Court he pleaded guilty to production of cannabis and abstraction of electricity.
He will be sentenced at the same court on September 22.
Investigating officer PC Ross Sandiford said: "A substantial amount of drugs has been taken off the streets of Croydon, providing reassurance to residents that not only do emergency response officers provide a response to 999 calls, but also pro-actively seek out criminal behaviour to keep Croydon safe as part of the commissioner's total war on crime."
