Chatting on his phone and looking dashing in a sharp suit Kelsey Grammer looks every bit the banker he is portraying in his latest movie.
But instead of walking into a bank he is walking into Croydon town hall as it is the latest filming location for Breaking the Bank.
The film tells the tale of Tuftons, a struggling 200-year-old, family run British bank, which has been left in financial straits thanks to a rogue trader.
With rival American and Japanese banks circling like sharks it is down to its bumbling, incompetent chairman Sir Charles Bunbury – played by Mr Grammer – to try and save the bank.
It is filming in the town centre until Sunday with many scenes taking place in and around the town hall.
Other actors in the cast include Andrew Sachs, who shot to fame as Manuel in Fawlty Towers, Mathew Horne from Gavin and Stacey, and Tamsin Greig from Shaun of the Dead and Black Books.
The movie is written by Roger Devlin and directed by the award winning Vadim Jean, the man behind One More Kiss and Terry Pratchett’s Going Postal.
