A shop keeper accused of stabbing a man in West Croydon is among six people wanted by police.

Erkan Uyar of Old Station Road, Godalming, is accused of stabbing a man in the chest on Windmill Road on April 28.

His victim was taken to hospital and suffered a puncture lung in the attack.

Mr Uyar, 38, appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court charged with grievous bodily harm on April 30, but failed to attend Croydon Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on June 25.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Police have also released details of five other wanted people including Aaron Brown, 25, who is charged with common assault and failed to appear at Croydon Magistrates Court on June 28.

Gentian Morina, 29, is wanted on recall to prison, having previously been convicted of actual bodily harm.

Lewis Grinham is one of four people wanted for failing to appear at court. The 18-year-old who is charged with robbery, should have attended on June 26.

Mary Stowe failed to appear at Croydon Magistrates Court on July 10. The 44-year-old is charged with drink-driving.

Hamza El Mailoudi, 28, was due to appear at the same court on the same day after being charged with failing to stop for police, but he did not attend.

Detective Sergeant Steve George, from Croydon CID said: "We have had some real success in locating wanted people after the last time we released some images.

"If you know where any of these people are, then I’d urge you to get in touch with us."
