Final list of candidates for Croydon North announced Final list of candidates for Croydon North announced

The final list of candidates who are standing for Croydon North have been released.

Steve Reed is representing Labour, Andy Stranack for the Conservatives and Marisha Ray for the Liberal Democrats.

Winston McKenzie is standing for UKIP, Shasha Khan for the Green Party and Lee Jasper for the Respect Party.

Robin Smith is representing the Young People’s Party, Ben Stevenson for the Communist Party, Richard Edmonds for the National Front, Stephen Hammond for Christian Peoples Alliance and Simon Lane from nine eleven was an inside job.

Voting will take place on the Thursday 29 November.

Your reporting is incorrect. Mr Simon Lane is leader of the "nine eleven was an inside job" party (all in lower case). It is not called the NEWAIJ party. -Lorna Evans, Cambridge

I'm voting for Respect because they are so forthrightly against war. I marched with hundreds of thousands against the Iraq war ( but failed to show Tony Blair the error he was making) until Jesse Jackson tried to turn Hyde Park into a happy-clappy revivalist meeting, at which point me and my brother went off to the pub to watch the rugby. (Ms Dynamite had slightly cheesed us off before Jesse, but only slightly).

The Iraq war was necessary. Saddam Hussein had murdered and was still murdering thousands of his own people. There were weapons of mass destruction, even if they were not found.
