Isleworth & Syon School on Ridgeway Road has released an album composed and performed by 13 pupils from Year 8 to Year 13, to showcase students’ talents.

The album titled ‘Playback’ features 14 original tracks covering a wide range of genres such as hip-hop, pop rock, classical and rap.

The album will be performed at the secondary school’s Summer Arts Evening on Thursday, July 5, where 150 pupils from the school will perform live across multiple stages.

Declan McKeever, subject leader for music, who oversaw the project, said: “As head of department, I truly believe that students’ lives can be enriched through music.

"Through the composition and recording process I have seen this in action, and I think that this album can be a springboard to great things for those involved.”

Headteacher Euan Ferguson said: “At school we continue to believe that creativity and the performing arts are vital to boys’ wellbeing.

“Projects like this are a testament not only to the students involved but also to my tireless team of staff who commit their time to ensure that Isleworth & Syon boys are given the best opportunities.”
