For four years, Manoj Karnavar has worked tirelessly to make his restaurant one of the best in Croydon.
And that isn't an exaggeration either.
The chef and owner at South End restaurant Karnavar believes his is the only one in all of Croydon to be Michelin rated.
"It was a proud moment to bring the Michelin name to Croydon," Mr Karnavar said.
"We want people to say 'this is the best food we have ever eaten'."
And he has the awards to back it up.
In just its second year in Croydon it won a national award for its menu and just this week was given a five out of five for its food hygiene rating.
"We put lots of hard work into making it the best it can be," the chef and owner said.
"A lot of what makes this restaurant so good is the seasonal ingredients we use."
And Mr Karnavar isn't about to rest on his laurels.
"We are trying to get that Michelin star," he said.
"We don't know when the judge will come in, but we will be ready."
