The Crystal Palace National Sports Centre has been forced to close indefinitely.
Initially it was not clear why the leisure centre had been shut, with a message posted yesterday (February 22) to the Crystal Palace Sports Partnership facebook leaving much to the imagination.
"Due to unforeseen circumstances, the centre will be closing early this afternoon," it read.
"Customers will be updated on the re-opening and via our website."
But an update has since been issued on its Twitter page, citing electrical issues as the culprit for the closures.
"Due to electrical power issues at the centre, we will be closed today (February 23)," the message read.
"Customers will be updated on the re-opening at the centre and via our website.
"Contractors are on site attempting to rectify the problems.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
There is no word yet on how long the closure will last.
