As an epidemic the likes of which may never be seen again sweeps over the nation, one Croydon restaurant is here to save the day.

For what feels like an eternity, KFC lovers in Croydon have been left in disarray as all but one of the stores in the area has been forced to temporally close due to a lack of poultry.

But, in an attempt to take advantage of the situation, while simultaneously giving the people what they want, a Boxpark Croydon store has stepped in to fill the void.

For tonight only, Coqfighters will be offering 15 per cent off their K-Wing menu from 5pm – 7pm.

A spokeswoman for Boxpark said people need not worry any longer.

"Fear not fried chicken friends," she said.

"KFC might be on their arse with a nation-wide shortage of the good stuff, however Coqfighters are here to save our Tuesday evening dinner.

"Their twice-fried, vodka and sesame battered Korean style wings come in a variety of different sizes and are available until stocks last.

"Praise the lord for Coqfighter."
