Young bookworms unite! Richmond's Literature Festival 2017 is offering a whole host of activities and author meets for kids from this November 3rd.

There will be an interactive story time, a fancy-dress craft workshop with the creator of the Isadora Moon books, stories, and drawing activities with Future Ratboy author Jim Smith.

Meanwhile, David Baddiel will be introducing his new book Birthday Boy, and Chris Riddell his latest Goth Girl book.

Councillor David Linnette, cabinet member for culture, sport and the voluntary sector said: “This year’s Literature Festival has a diverse programme of events that people of all ages can enjoy.

“Encouraging children to find the fun in reading, telling stories and learning can kick-start a lifelong love of the written word, and I hope being exposed to the calibre of authors who are in Richmond over the coming month will do that.”

Children will also have the chance to do some live drawing with Axel Scheffler, take part in craft workshops, and chat to award-winning authors,

Tickets are available online at www.richmondliterature.com or can be bought in person at the Orleans House Gallery Visitor Centre.
