Clapham Common's first-ever ice rink is arriving next month.

Winterville is descending on Wandsworth soon, an alternative festive experience for all the family.

There will also be a range of food from Street Feast, screenings of Christmas classics by Backyard Cinema and UV-powered crazy golf with Plonk Golf.

You can even ride the Big Wheel and get some gifts from the alternative Christmas market.

The Street Feast will feature traders from across the capital, including Up In My Grill, Mother Clucker, SE Cakery and Petare, with more said to be coming soon.

It doesn’t stop there, as there is a line-up of entertainment which includes an opening weekend set from DJ Norman Jay MBE and free shows from South London Soul Train, R&She with All Saint Mel Blatt and Gin & Juice.

Meanwhile, there are also ticketed shows from Cirque du Cabaret and Mexican Wrestling from Lucha Britannia and Sunday nights will include The Pink Presents the Merry Marys, Little Gay Brother and Mariah & Friends.

There is stuff for kids to do too.

Not only is there an ice rink, cinema, fairground and roller disco, there will also be a live adaptation of Mimi & The Snow Dragon from War Horse create Michael Morpurgo.

In addition, there will be a family rave-up with Big Fish Little Fish, the World Beyond the Wardrobe from A Tea Dance for Little People and a Santa’s workshop.

The festival begins on November 23 and ends on January 1.
