Employees from Reed Business Information Technology Team raised over £2,000 for cancer research last week after eleven workers chose to 'Brave the Shave'.

This was compared to five workers who shaved their hair last year at the company's base in Quadrant House, Sutton.

Aren Keshishi, software engineer said: "I wanted to take part after seeing last year’s event. It’s great to be able to help such a worthwhile cause by doing something so simple but meaningful.”

Adrian Pedersen, network engineer, got involved second consecutive year.

He said: "The main reason I wanted to do it, is because I am in a position to help others who need it.

“We were successful last year, where we managed to raise just under £2k for to help those in need, by doing something as simple as shaving our hair off.

“This year we have raised over £2K, and we had a great time doing it.”

Adrian plans on making it three years running.

He added: “Hopefully even more people will get involved in on the fun, which will in turn result in a greater amount raised, and that would be amazing.

"I'm thankful to all those who were involved in this event and who showed support by donating or helping us from start to finish."

The Sutton company also raised funds for The Royal Marsden on September 8 as 100 employees walked 100 miles.
