Acrobats, dancers and booze from Wimbledon Brewery helped Centre Court Shopping Centre's 25th birthday party go off with a bang.

Lady Wimbledon herself hosted the fun day on Saturday (September 16).. There were live acts on stage including acrobatic group the Black Eagles, singer Mallory Torr and dance groups 808 Dance and Dance Bites.

For shoppers, there were goodie bags containing items such as Clarins moisturiser, Crabtree hand cream and Thornton’s chocolates.

Wimbledon Brewery hosted a popular pop-up in the lower mall.

The official cutting of the birthday cake was by the Mayor of Merton, councillor Marsie Skeete. The cake was made by a Lakeland star baker and was a replica of the Centre Court Shopping Centre building, along with all its retailers showcased in icing.

Centre Court's centre director Suzy Wood said: "The Centre has been at the heart of Wimbledon since it was built 25 years ago, and we want to ensure that this is still the case going forward. We love to be involved with all local events and community groups. This birthday event was important to celebrate where we have come and what we have coming up, it was for local shoppers and retailers to enjoy. Here is to another prosperous 25 years to come."
