Mothers of Croydon unite.
A Croydon woman has teamed up with the free app Mush in an effort to connect as many mums as possible.
Shay Mukherjee, a mum herself, didn't want others going through the same depressing feelings she had to go through.
"The reason I am on a mission promoting the app is to reduce the loneliness and isolation particularly amongst new mums, something I experienced myself," she said.
"I aim to get as many mums as possible who are sat at home feeling lonely, and connect them with other mums as I believe friendships are a vital part of our well-being.
"I would have been lost if not for this app on maternity leave and now have some solid friends from it."
An event is now scheduled at Boxpark Croydon on September 21 in an effort to get as many women as possible to attend, "and hopefully some more friendships and connections can be made."
